Description
The most technically demanding work in the Virentina collection. Fabio Bordi spent over a year reproducing every arch of Ponte Sant'Angelo, every stone of the Castel and the full silhouette of St. Peter's Basilica, tessera by tessera, in the 19th-century filato romano tradition, with rare antique marble inserts sourced specifically for this piece. There are fewer than a handful of living mosaicists capable of producing work of this complexity. This is one of them.
