After a drawing by Giovanni Baglione, circa 1600. The myth of Icarus, hubris, flight and the fall, rendered in hand-cut polychrome marble through one of Italy's most demanding and ancient traditions. Fabio Bordi did not simply reproduce the image. He translated it into stone, tessera by tessera, until the figure seemed to move.
Materials: Polychrome marble micro mosaic tesserae.
