A letter from the founder
My name is Matteo. Virentina was born in Rome, out of indignation. “Made in Italy” has become a label. The hands behind it, invisible.
I started visiting workshops, one by one. Four masters said yes, all carrying techniques that are centuries old and quietly vanishing.
Virentina exists to give them the audience they already have, and the one they still deserve.
My role is simple: to seek out these masters, understand their craft and create a bridge between their workshops and the people who are ready to cherish their work for a lifetime.
Every artisan featured on Virentina has entered into an exclusive partnership agreement. We work only with those who choose to entrust us with their online presence. No piece is ever sold without the direct consent of its maker.
