In 2005, Fabio Bordi walked away from a career in finance after spotting a mosaic workshop sign in the streets of Rome. He enrolled, found his master, and never looked back.
Today he works in the heart of the city, mastering two of Italy's most demanding ancient techniques: Tagliato Romano mosaic and Filato Romano Micromosaic. Polychrome marble, Venetian enamel and gold leaf tesserae, assembled fragment by fragment, by hand.
His restorations touch some of the city's most significant landmarks. His creations travel the world.
